The $2.9 billion, 248,200-member SACU has presented six local students with scholarships of $3,000 each to help them pay for their transition from a two-year community college to a four-year college or university.
The winners of this year's SACU Bridge for U Scholarships were recognized during the San Antonio credit union's 78th annual meeting on May 16.
"One of San Antonio's strengths is its solid and accessible community college system. This scholarship is a benefit of SACU membership," said SACU Scholarship representative Juan Antonio Ruiz.
