The Senate Banking Committee will have five new members during this session, as a result of assignments announced by the party leaderships on Thursday.
Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) is the sole new Democrat on the panel.
The new Republicans are Sens. Roger Wicker of Mississippi, Mark Kirk of Illinois, Jerry Moran of Kansas and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.
Sen. Tim Johnson (D-S.D.) is the panel's chairman and Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) is the top Republican.
