Hawaii State Federal Credit Union said it plans to convert to a new core processing platform from Open Solutions.

The $1.1 billion institution will run the DNA platform through an Open Solutions data center. It also plans to use Open Solutions' loan origination, accounting, teller capture, digital document and relationship management solutions, the company said.

The credit union currently uses a Fiserv DataSafe core processing solution, according to Callahan & Associates' Technology Survey.

Hawaii State FCU has eight branches and 40 shared branch locations through the Hawaii Network of Shared Branching for Credit Unions. Membership is available on all the islands to state, city and county employees and their immediate families.

Open Solutions is based in Glastonbury, Conn., and recently released an upgraded version of its DNA platform, which is used by about 400 credit unions.
