MURRIETA, Calif. — Ten more credit unions have signed up to use an automated address validation system built to integrate with their Symitar Episys core processing system.
The Correio Address Validation Server is now being used by 34 credit unions in all, according to its creator, CUTEK, a consultancy specializing in Symitar applications.
The 10 credit unions who signed up to use Correio in the third quarter of this year are the $269 million Associated CU of Texas in Texas City; the $167 million Cabrillo CU and the $1.8 billion Mission FCU, both of San Diego; the $215 million Credit Union of Johnson County in Lenexa, Texas; the $455 million Interra CU of Goshen, Ind.; the $605 million School Employees CU of Washington in Seattle; the $460 million KEMBA Financial CU of Gahanna, Ohio; the $121 million Innovations FCU of Panama City, Fla.; the $733 million MAX CU of Montgomery, Ala.; and the $943 million TruMark FCU of Trevose, Pa.
The real-time system allows users to validate and standardize addresses through the U.S. Postal Service's address matching service application programming interface and push the data back into the host Symitar Episys system, CUTEK said.
The Correio system automatically validates addresses when they're typed in by member service representatives and an alert box appears if there's a problem. The ZIP+4 number also is added to facilitate sorting and routing, and the USPS' delivery point validation database also has recently been added, allowing the member services representative to see if the address is a house, apartment or business.
