WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — In an effort to bring members up to speed, $1.1 billion Truliant Federal Credit Union will host eight education seminars across North Carolina in August explaining how fund insurance works and how members can structure their funds to get the maximum benefit.
The first seminar takes place Aug. 6 in Winston-Salem. Truliant FCU will also host seminars on Aug. 6-7 and 12-14 in Charlotte, Burlington, again in Winston-Salem, Greensboro and New River, respectively.
In light of recent bank failures, Truliant said one of the most frequent questions members are asking is "is their money safe."
"By making sound financial decisions such as avoiding subprime lending," Truliant said it "can answer that question with a resounding 'yes.'"
Truliant serves more than 184,000 members.
