DALLAS — Neighborhood Credit Union is getting a lot of media attention for simply doing right by its staffers.
In response to rising gas prices, the credit union is giving every employee monthly $25 gas gift cards.
Neighborhood CU's unique efforts caught the attention of local media and its gas gift card initiative story has been recently featured on Dallas' NBC5 and WBAP News/Talk 820.
Neighborhood CU President/CEO Chet Kimmell says while the motivation behind the initiative is simply part of the industry's overall 'people helping people' philosophy, the media coverage "is a tremendous bonus and affirmation that doing the right thing can pay extra dividends."
