BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The latest credit union to ride the name change wave is Jefferson County Teacher's Credit Union.
Effective July 1, it will be known as eCO Credit Union.
Designed to remove perceived barriers and appeal to the credit union's more diverse membership the new name is derived from a blend of 'Educators' and 'Community' to best represent its members.
