WASHINGTON — Applications for refinancing mortgages increased 67% over the last three months, compared with the previous period, according an NAFCU Flash survey released today.
Also, 51% of those surveyed said they had received more requests for mortgage assistance than during the previous three months.
The same survey also indicated 67% of respondents had an "unchanged or tightened somewhat" willingness to approve credit card applications.
NAFCU regularly surveys approximately 130 of their members.
Respondents were expecting weaker demand for new- and used-vehicle loans. They were expecting a stronger demand for non-secured loans and no change with respect to real estate.
