MEDIA, Pa. — CUSOLaw.com, a Web site aimed at encouraging and educating credit unions about the benefits of collaboration through credit union service organizations, has undergone a complete facelift.
The site (www.cusolaw.com) is the creation of law firm, Messick & Weber P.C. Guy Messick, noted credit union attorney, is a partner at the firm.
CUSOLaw.com links to the National Association of Credit Union Service Organization's Web site (www.nacuso.org), which provides a searchable data base of CUSOs. The podcasts include interviews with CUSO leaders who provide background information on their CUSOs and a link to the "Current Issues in Credit Union" podcast, a monthly podcast by attorneys and non-attorneys panelists.
"The previous version of the CUSOLaw.com Web site had valuable information about CUSOs contained in [frequently asked questions] and articles but it was not keeping up with the times," said Messick, who serves as general counsel to NACUSO. "We have added more articles and now have podcasts and a blog."
Messick said there are "great challenges" facing credit unions today and the site is an information resource for credit unions looking for the means to become more efficient in their operations, more valuable to their members in the type and scope of the services offered and more profitable through more noninterest income.
