LAS VEGAS — What started with a $20,000 seed donation to kick off NACUSO's BUY CUSO campaign has moved forward in an all out effort to create awareness of CUSOs as solutions providers to the credit union industry.

In 2007, Mountain America CU, CU*Answers, Member Gateways, LLC, and Beyond Marketing LLC contributed $5,000 each, providing the total $20,000 donation to make the BUY CUSO campaign happen. Advertisements started appearing on April 28 in several trade publication Web sites and will continue in printed trade publications through spring 2008, according to NACUSO.

The $2.3 billion Mountain America Credit Union donated another $5,000 to the campaign. TruHome Solutions, LLC upped the ante by pledging $5,000 as well.

"When credit unions connect with collaborative and innovative CUSO opportunities, they keep the solutions in the credit union family, for the benefit of their members and all concerned," said Tom Davis, NACUSO president/CEO.

Davis said the BUY CUSO campaign is one of the primary objectives of NACUSO's National Center for Collaboration and Innovation.
