COLUMBUS, Ohio — CME Federal Credit Union is giving its staffers a voice through its new corporate-wide portal.
Turning to Denver-based RSS and Enterprise 2.0 technologies provider NewsGator's Social Sites and SharePoint Server 2007, CME FCU has launched an intelligent social network along the lines of Facebook and MySpace, so employees can see what colleagues are working on and make easy connections between people, departments and project groups.
The move is based on the idea that by giving staffers a place to organize and connect, they can communicate around business interests as well as collaborate on projects and more easily share member feedback and suggestions.
Within the new CME portal, employees can also track member concerns through a number of social media tools, including tags and tag clouds, which provide customer service managers and the management team real-time insight on member information and questions.
