WASHINGTON–With all the opposing political rhetoric that we continually hear from the leading Presidential candidates, one piece of current legislation is truly bi-partisan.

With the addition of the 143rd co-sponsor to Paul Kanjorski's (D-Pa.) CURIA legislation, Brad Ellsworth (D-Ind.), the bi-partisan nature of the legislation that will benefit credit union members on both sides of the aisle continues to move forward.

CURIA is critical to the continued growth of the credit union Movement. It will put into effect a risk-based capital system, expanded member business lending, increased voter participation in the event of a merger, and broaden service to the underserved.
