LAKELAND, Fla. — Members of MIDFLORIDA Federal Credit Union recently received their share of a $650,000 dividend following the June 30th completed merger with Imperial Polk Credit Union.
The dividend represents a 6%, one-time interest payment on eligible balances as of June 30, according to MIDFLORIDA.
In early March, 92% of voting members of $16 million Imperial Polk CU voted to merge with MIDFLORIDA, according to both credit unions. Imperial Polk served more than 4,000 members. The completed merger boosted MIDFLORIDA's assets to approximately $1.17 billion and 128,000 members. The merger represents the tenth one for MIDFLORIDA.
Chartered in 1954 as Polk County Teachers CU, MIDFLORIDA now serves five counties in Central Florida.
