TYLER, Texas — Ted Thames, former senior vice president at Technology Credit Union, has moved on to launch Q10 Resources, a private consulting practice.
Thames will focus on building synergistic affiliations with industry vendors and consultants. He is developing an affiliate relationship with Cornerstone Advisors, an Arizona-based strategy, best practice and technology consulting firm.
"The challenges credit unions face are growing and the choices are often difficult," Thames said. "It is my role to help credit unions creatively identify and evaluate their options, which should include investing in value. In many cases, strong capital positions should be leveraged to increase value to members and communities. My Q10 board-management dialog process is a good starting point for any credit union and can build on previous planning efforts."
Thames joined Tech CU in 1989 and was instrumental in keeping the credit union on the right strategic track and aligned with its long-term goals, according to Tech CU CEO Ken Burns. "While we will miss his day-to-day contribution, we are very proud to be his first client," Burns added.
