ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA Chairman JoAnn Johnson and Congresswoman Anne Meagher Northup (R-Ky.). were slated to host a Chairman's Forum in Kentucky last Friday. On Oct. 14, Johnson and Northup were to address participants at the Seelbach Hilton in Louisville. "This forum will provide a great opportunity for credit union management to communicate directly with Representative Northup and NCUA," Johnson said. "We value the opportunity to hear about the issues important to credit unions in Kentucky and their members. Also, this forum will provide useful information to assist credit unions to further serve their members." Additional panel discussions targeted legislative and regulatory identity theft protections for consumers; loans and grants offered through NCUA's Community Development Revolving Loan Fund; and the role credit unions can play in offering Health Savings Accounts to their members. Kentucky Credit Union League President Wendell Lyons and others were also scheduled to speak to the group. All Kentucky credit unions were invited to participate.
