FedStar FCU President Issues CURIA Challenge to CUs

ROANOKE, Va. – FedStar FCU President/CEO Donna Harris is taking passage of CURIA very seriously, so much so in fact that she has taken a bold step to be sure all of the CU's staff and officials contact their federal legislators on the importance of the Credit Union Regulatory Improvements Act. Donna Harris has asked FedStar's Board to make it mandatory for all staff and officials to go to the My Credit Union Is Me – www.mycuisme.com/curia – Web site and send a message to their elected officials on the importance of the legislation. The Web site also features talking points for CUs' convenience. "I challenge all credit unions to do the same and get 100 percent participation in this important effort," she said. Harris reminded CUs to tell their members to include their own personal story of how their credit union has helped them and why they want their elected officials to support CURIA.
