TOMS RIVER, N.J. – Issa Stephan has been selected by the board of directors of MON-OC FCU as the $182 million CU's new president/CEO. He succeeds L. Edward Brzozowski who is retiring after 26 years with the credit union. Stephan is a nine-year veteran with the credit union industry and most recently worked as EVP/Chief Operations Officer at City Credit Union in Dallas, Texas. Prior to starting out on his credit union career, he spent six years with the United Nations as assistant information systems officer. He is a member of CUES and was awarded the Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation of CUES with honors. He is also a member of CUNA's Technology Council and has been a member of the Texas Credit Union League's Political Action Committee and the League's Technology Council. Stephan has also served as a volunteer consultant for Caja Popular Mexicana, the largest credit union in Mexico. MON-OC has more than 32,500 members.
