WASHINGTON – NAFCU Services Corporation (NSC) has named the Van Horn Communications Edvantage Program as its Preferred Partner for a credit union member loyalty program. The Preferred Partner title was awarded to the Edvantage program after a highly competitive review and involved an in-depth analysis of each firm's experience, quality and commitment to the credit union industry. "Today, over 65 million people spend over 150 billion dollars through Internet shopping alone and it is growing annually at a double digit rate. In addition, many credit unions have explored various card and non-card related member loyalty programs with mixed results. Some credit union executives complain of high costs and substantial contingent liability associated with their current member loyalty programs," said NSC President and CEO Keith Nolan. "The Van Horn Communications Edvantage Program offers an outstanding opportunity to both credit unions and their members to earn substantial fees and rewards with minimal risk and start-up costs." The member loyalty program offers a host of benefits ranging from the opportunity to receive rebates from over 600 online merchants and online access to monitor rebate status, specials or promotions, to credit unions receiving a monthly "administrative fee" equal to 20% of its membership's total rebates. According to Edvantage President Jim Van Horn, the program allows individual members the opportunity to save several hundred dollars with special discounts at nationally known merchants, while collectively allowing the credit union to receive thousands of dollars in revenue.
