GARDNER, Mass. – The gavel changed hands during the GFA Federal Credit Union board reorganization. According to credit union executives and the board, outgoing Chief Governance Officer Roger Tousignant oversaw great successes for GFA FCU. During that time, the board updated and enhanced its governance policies and opened its fifth location – a state-of-the-art branch facility in Rutland, Massachusetts. The board will now be chaired by David Jacques, who has been a member of the board since 1982 and has held the office of chairman once before. Jacques has also held the position of supervisory committee chairman, which he was instrumental in forming. Jacques, CPA and owner of Venning & Jacques PC, is very active in the community and is currently the treasurer and trustee at Heywood Hospital. He also sits on the board of the Mount Wachusett Community College Foundation and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
