MEMPHIS – Memphis Area Teachers' CU President/CEO Ray Algee has announced his retirement effective July 1. Algee has led the $550 million CU since 1995. Under Algee, MATCU expanded its membership to include just about everyone in the Memphis area. The CU has 15 branches and employs 200. “The time that I have spent with Memphis Area Teachers' Credit Union has been some of the most rewarding work years of my life. The position has challenged me with a totally new field of employment and rewarded me with a team of great workers, associates and friends,” said Algee.
