WASHINGTON-Hearings have been scheduled for two key positions in the financial world, but there has been no word yet on a hearing scheduled for NCUA Board nominee Rodney Hood. The Senate Banking Committee announced nomination hearings for Ben S. Bernanke to serve as a member of the Council of Economic Advisors and Brian D. Montgomery as the assistant secretary for Housing and Urban Development on May 25. Sources around the credit union industry have said they had not heard any buzz yet about when a hearing might be on the horizon for Hood's nomination.
