MARIETTA, Ga. – Georgia recently played host to several credit union representatives from Poland here to learn more about the movement. The $562 million Lockheed Georgia Employees' Federal Credit Union and the Georgia Credit Union Affiliates (GCUA) hosted Poland delegation along with journalists from the country on May 12. Guests included Grzegorz Buczkowski, president of Polish CU Insurance Services; Grzegorz Bierecki, president of National Association of Cooperative Savings and Credit Unions (NACSCU); Ed Collins, president and CEO of LGEFCU; and Andrzej Sosnowski, president of Stefczyk Credit Union. Mike Mercer, GCUA president, was among those who welcomed the guests through the “People to People” effort, a program between the league and NACSCU of Poland.
