I enjoyed reading Mike Welch's column about the CUNA CU name change and the propensity for the local media to mix up CUNA, CUNA Mutual and CUNA CU. On top of every CUNA CU news release, we give a long explanation trying to convince the media not to shorten CUNA Credit Union. It goes right over the headline writers' heads. And, of course, media people are in and out so fast that it has been a constant problem. I spoke at the member meeting before the vote to let them know how difficult it is to work with reporters who don't understand the differences. I'm sure glad this is happening.
