DOWNEY, Calif. – Financial Partners Credit Union has committed to a three-year deal with SBC Communications for bundled telecommunications services. SBC Communications, a Fortune 500 company that is the controlling shareholder of Cingular Wireless, will be providing the $623 million credit union with local, long distance, audio conferencing and VoIP services. The agreement is worth about $750,000 over three years, the company said. "We needed a higher level of service for our voice network, and it was important for us to consolidate multiple vendors into one single provider," said Patty Holcomb, vice president of IT at Financial Partners.
