DENVER – CU Direct Connect, a CUSO owned by 38 Colorado credit unions with an additional 22 CU partners in that state and in Wyoming, has formed a relationship with the Denver Newspaper Agency and Cars.com to provide CU members with an improved online vehicle information tool. The co-branded Web site – Auto Resource Center – www.postnewsads.com/cudc- – gives members all the information they need to make an informed decision for their vehicle purchase. The Web site went up in January. Using the new Web site, members can search new and used vehicle inventories, locate dealers, research vehicle values, read the latest news and receive consumer advice, understand their insurance options, get qualified for a loan amount and pursue financing through their credit union. In addition, the Auto Resource Center is a tool for dealers to create awareness and expose their inventory online to credit union members. Fran Wills, VP of Interactive and Product Development for the Denver Newspaper Agency said the three-way partnership provides a unique opportunity for dealers to position their dealership and inventory in front of credit union members. In addition, she said Cars.com dealers will benefit from being able to work more closely with CU Direct Connect's participating credit unions and the approximately one million members they represent. "Credit union members are relying on the Web to make educated car-buying decisions," said CU Direct Connect President/CEO Steve Anderson. "We want to provide our credit unions with the tools their members need to make a smart choice. Since the Denver Newspaper Agency and Cars.com have one of the most comprehensive and state-of-the-art auto Web sites in Colorado, it was a natural fit for us." The Denver Newspaper Agency publishes The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News.
