SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Golden 1 Credit Union has donated $8,000 to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Operation Uplink. The Golden 1 CU employees gave back vacation time or contributed cash to raise funds to support the troops. The donation will be used to purchase telephone calling cards for troops overseas so that they can keep in touch with their loved ones back in the States. “We are very proud of our employees. They participate in many charitable endeavors throughout the year and always come through by giving their time, money or even blood at our regularly scheduled blood drives,” said The Golden 1 CU President/CEO Teresa A. Halleck.
