DFCU Financial Mortgage Loan Officer Receives Unique Recognition

DEARBORN, Mich. – Wendy Hewitt, mortgage loan officer for Dearborn FCU Financial Services LLC has become the only credit union mortgage specialist in the U.S. to be included on the list of top producer from Mortgage Originator Magazine, in recognition of the volume of loans she closed in 2002. Hewitt, who has been in the mortgage business for 20 years, closed a record 729 mortgage loans last year for DFCU members. This ranked her 41st nationwide among hundreds of loan originators who report their sales to the national mortgage trade magazine. The home mortgages that Hewitt closed in 2002 totaled nearly $107.5 million in loan volume for DFCU Financial – nearly four and a half times the average dollar volume generated by the top 200 mortgage processors who responded to the magazine's survey.
