Nominations open for CUNA Mutual 2002 Excellence in Lending award

MADISON, Wis. – Nominations will be accepted for the 2002 Credit Union Excellence in Lending awards until July 31. According to CUNA Mutual Group, the awards aim "to identify, recognize and share examples of lending excellence within the credit union movement. Credit unions are honored for their innovation in serving their members, while sustaining sound financial performance." The third annual awards are being sponsored by the CUNA Mutual Group and the CUNA Lending Council. Four credit unions will receive awards – two in consumer lending and two in mortgage lending. Awards will be presented in each category to CUs with more than $200 million in assets and to those with less than $200 million in assets. CUs interested in nominating themselves or another credit union can receive an application by going online to www.cunamutual.com, then click on Resources, then Lending Resources. They can also call (800) 356-5012, and chose Option 2 to request a nomination form. Award winners will be recognized at the CUNA Lending Council Conference that will be held in Naples, Fla., Nov. 10-13.
