BOULDER, Colo. -- Parascript LLC has released a new version of its flagship check recognition and verification product.
CheckPlus 6.0 adds a .Net application programming interface for integration with customer applications, as well as mismatch detection and keyword search.
The mismatch detection reads the check amount written in numbers and letters to prevent potential fraud losses, the company said. The keyword search finds documents among check images and allows integrators to build data mining and reporting functions.
Enhanced ability to detect random and skilled forgeries on checks and image-replacement documents also are part of the new software.

Parascript software processes more than 100 billion imaged documents per year for Fortune 500 companies, postal operators, major government and financial institutions, the company said.
