Hundreds of starving children at the orphanage will benefit from the meals, which took 90 minutes for the Meritrust volunteers to package, the credit union said.

A group of members, employees and friends of the $890 million Meritrust Credit Union in Wichita, Kan., gathered on a recent Saturday to assemble 20,000 meals for shipment to an orphanage in South Africa on behalf of the international hunger relief organization Numana, and in recognition of International Credit Union Day. ]
