The nomination period for the four seats up for election on NACUSO's board of directors will open March 4.
A person may be nominated through the three-person nominating committee or by petition, according to NACUSO. All persons interested in obtaining the nomination of the nominating committee should send a bio and a letter explaining their professional experience and personal attributes that they possess to contribute as a director of NACUSO. The association is also requiring candidates to complete a questionnaire located on NACUSO's website.
Requests for the nomination must be received by March 4. The list of candidates will be reported no later than March 25.
NACUSO's by-laws also permit a candidate to be nominated by petition. Any primary member representative may be nominated upon a petition signed by 10% of the primary members. The nominating petitions must be filed with NACUSO by March 11.
Voting for the board candidates will take place April 5-21. The results will be announced at NACUSO's annual meeting April 28.
NACUSO's board is comprised of 11 directors. Each seat has a three year term. The terms for the four seats up for election expire this year.
