Members of the $1.4 billion Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union will be able to use any of the three channels of mobile banking delivery when the credit union launches its "triple play" service on April 5.
The 140,000-member Westbury, N.Y., institution said it will be the only credit union on Long Island to offer SMS text messaging, mobile Web or downloadable applications to access accounts through mobile devices.
The service will use the mobile platform from mFoundry of Larkspur, Calif., to offer the ability to secretly check balances, search transactions, transfer money and pay bills, the credit union said.
"Our mobile banking program is unique in its multifaceted presentation," said NEFCU Executive Vice President and COO Michael Egan.
