While The Family Credit Union expected new mobile financial services would appeal to its Generation Y members, the cooperative has discovered baby boomers are just as interested.
The $89.9 million credit union in Davenport, Iowa, recently signed on with Fiserv Inc.'s Mobile Money. Members can access the services through any mobile device using SMS or a mobile browser with plans to launch a downloadable application soon.
Sandra Sheffey, president/CEO of the credit union, said baby boomers and older members have signed on to Mobile Money. More than 100 members signed on within 30 days of the service's launch.
