To woo small business owners during a time when banks have scaled back lending activity, Georgia Central Credit Union has launched a campaign for credit unions to capture market share.

The "Your Business Needs… All Wrapped Up" promotion touts an alliance with Member Business Solutions LLC, which offers credit unions loan underwriting and other services. Georgia Central also has a partnership with Cooperative Services Inc. for credit unions to use its free remote-capture Web site to attract potential small business owners. APEX-ACH, a Web-based ACH origination and receipt system, is also available directly from the corporate.

The corporate's small business lineup features Primary Financials LLC's Institutional SimpliCD, a program that offers expanded investment options that carry FDIC or NCUA guarantees.

Georgia Central is also teaming up with Southeast Corporate Federal Credit Union and MBS to host their second annual credit union small business summit Aug. 5-6 at the Hilton Atlanta Airport. The agenda will feature marketing strategies to increase loan volume and a primer on credit fundamentals to help identify opportunities. MBS is owned by Georgia Central and Southwest Corporate.
