FORT WORTH, Texas — First Class American Credit Union welcomed 275 members and their families to its 79th Annual Meeting.

Held at the Amon G. Carter Exhibition Hall in the Stagecoach Inn Room, the evening included the credit union's annual business meeting, scholarship presentations, cash and prize giveaways and a barbecue dinner.

The evening's theme "1st Class" embraced FCACU's new vision statement–1st Class…1st in Service, 1st in Quality, 1st in Value for our Community. Kirby Kangaroo, the credit union's kid's club mascot, was on hand to greet members and hand out prizes.

Nominees for the 2008 board of directors Angus Baker, Cindy White and Christi Fite were accepted.

During the celebration, Nori Jackson, teller supervisor and FCACU Children's Miracle Network representative, explained how CMN is helping the community's children and Cook Children's Hospital of Ft. Worth. Members donated nearly $1,400 to CMN by purchasing Miracle Team t-shirts, cookbooks and icons.

In addition, Lauren Rangel and Christina Ann Tindel were named the 2008 director's scholarship winners. Each received a $500 scholarship to be used at the college or university of their choice.
