OGDEN, Utah — After some 46 years of volunteer service at America First Credit Union, Janice Burk has retired.
She has been a longtime member of the Loan Review Committee, which assists members with credit difficulties in finding affordable financing.
Burk began volunteering in 1962 as a field representative and was elected to the credit committee in 1967. That group became known as the Loan Review Committee in May of 2003 when America First converted to a federal charter.
She said she is very proud of her work on the committee. Of her credit union experience, Burk said, "I have benefited more personally, than the service that I have given back."
Burk enjoyed a long and distinguished career with the IRS. During her 35 years at IRS she held a variety of titles and worked on multiple projects. She retired from the Criminal Investigation Division.
