DUBLIN, Ohio – John Hink was recently named the vice president for sales and marketing for American Share Insurance. He replaces Nick Damopoulos who retired.
"We are very excited about the energy and enthusiasm John brings to us. His experience with financial institutions and understanding of the financial markets will help us continue to grow and assist our member credit unions," ASI President & CEO Dennis Adams said.
Hink, who has 10 years of experience in financial institutions, will be responsible for the sales and marketing activities of both ASI and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Excess Share Insurance. Most recently, he served at a Columbus, Ohio investment banking company. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Miami University.
ASI is the sole non-federal share insurer for credit unions in the United States with over 180 state-chartered credit unions and $13.4 billion in shares in nine states. ESI, an ASI subsidiary, is the nation's largest provider of excess share insurance to credit unions, serving over 270 credit unions in 33 states plus the District of Columbia.
