BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Fiserv Inc. has made the big leagues. The heavyweight of IT processing for credit unions can now say it's a Fortune 500 company. Based on its $4.1 billion in total revenue for the past year, the provider of financial and health benefits technology is now 488th on the list of 500 largest companies in the United States. The annual list is compiled by Fortune magazine and will appear in the publication's April 17 issue. The company is one of three financial services data services providers and one of 10 Wisconsin-based companies on the list. Fiserv, which was 510th in the magazine's 2005 list, now has more than 17,000 clients worldwide. It's grown rapidly in recent years through acquisitions, and now includes in its portfolio seven core processors for credit unions: IntegraSys, USERS, Galaxy Plus, Summit Information Systems, XP Systems, AFTECH and CUSA Technologies.
