FRISCO, Texas – Texans Credit Union has signed a five-year extension with the Frisco RoughRiders as the team's exclusive dominant partner – the highest level offered – in the financial institution category. The credit union became the original Founding Partner of the Frisco RoughRiders in 2002, when sod was still being planted at Dr Pepper/Seven Up Ballpark, the RoughRiders' home field. Nearly four years, 150 sellouts, and 1.85 million fans later, Texans Credit Union is the first of the original Founding Partners to renew their partnership with the RoughRiders, the Double-A Affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The RoughRiders have ranked in the top-10 in all of Minor League attendance during their first three seasons, and finished first in all of Double-A baseball attendance in 2005. “It's with great pleasure to announce that Texans will extend its current relationship with the Frisco RoughRiders,” Texans Credit Union President/CEO David Addison said. “We are proud to partner with the exceptional staff of such a family-friendly organization. Texans and the RoughRiders share the same values of people helping people and giving back to the community, so renewing the relationship made perfect sense.” Mike McCall, president of the Frisco RoughRiders, echoed Addison's sentiments about renewing this healthy business relationship. “Texans Credit Union has such a great product, and I m glad the RoughRiders can help communicate their message through this partnership,” McCall said. “Because of my personal experience [as a Texans account holder], as well as what I see them doing in the marketplace, I'm very proud that they've renewed their deal. It's reassuring to know that we believe in their product as much as they believe in ours.” The new partnership, which begins in 2006, carries through the 2010 season.
