SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Digital Defense Inc. and a group of credit unions are inviting people to join their Security TEAM in the fight against phishing and other online fraud. Security TEAM stands for Security Training, Education and Awareness for Members and is a new online training course provided to participating members through a secured Web site managed by Digital Defense. The course was developed by Digital Defense (www.digitaldefense.net) with input from a group of credit unions that includes $1 billion Wright-Patt CU (www.wright-pattcu.com) in Ohio, $747 million State Employees Credit Union (www.secu.org) of Michigan and $279 million San Antonio City FCU (www.sacefcu.org). Meanwhile, Southwest Corporate also plans to offer the Security TEAM to its member credit unions. The program includes testing and an automatically generated "course completion" certificate. Several credit unions are now creating programs to reward members who complete the course, according to Digital Defense, a provider of IT and online security services to more than 280 credit unions.
