Texans CU Adds a Compliance Commander to Network Security

RICHARDSON, Texas – Texans Credit Union will be monitoring what's going out on its networks as well as what's coming in, using a piece of equipment called Compliance Commander from Intrusion Inc. Intrusion (www.intrusion.com), like $1.4 billion Texans, is based in Richardson. It is a global provider of regulated information compliance, entity identification systems and data privacy protection products whose clients include the U.S. Army. Its Compliance Commander monitor was designed for community financial institutions and is placed at the Internet access or some other user-defined point, where it monitors, detects, blocks and reports the presence of any unencrypted non-public information that occur in e-mails, attachments, instant messages, file transfers and other traffic. "Managing information privacy for our nearly 200,000 members is a top priority at all levels of our organization.
