CALABASAS, Calif. – Service Credit Union in New Hampshire was the credit union winner of the consumer solutions client awards from Digital Insight because of its strong growth in Internet banking and bill pay use by members. In 2004, Service CU saw its online banking penetration increase by 40% from the previous year to reach 42% of its 86,000 members, while bill pay penetration increased by 54% to account for 30% of its more than 35,000 online banking members. Ray Springsteen, Service CU's vice president of member services and marketing, cited DI's free growth and retention program, which provides customizable direct mail, e-mail, Webcasts, training and other sales tools. He said the services "helped us augment our own marketing programs, and combined, these efforts have led to our members adding thousands of new services in 2004." Calabasas-based Digital Insight provides e-commerce services to more than 1,700 credit unions, banks and other financial services providers.
