In response to your online voting poll question, "Should credit unions that have converted to banks be allowed to remain as participants of credit union shared branching networks?", I say sure, why not? If we are providing more convenience for members and even bank customers, it just makes credit unions look better. Why should I care if a bank customer comes to our credit union to do a transaction and the bank pays for it? Maybe for banks that want to be in the network, we should waive the agreement to not solicit their customers. As far as our members going to a bank and being solicited, they do it now. We certainly do not have all of our members' money or their business. But again if we are providing more convenience for all involved, the credit union in the end wins out.
