ST. LOUIS – Ten small to mid-sized corporate credit unions will sponsor a conference, entitled Dare to Compete, in St. Louis this November. The conference will focus on how credit unions can become more competitive, how they can compete with larger institutions, and secrets to successful operations. It will also discuss why membership and asset growth has slowed, taking a look at competitors such as banks, insurance companies, payday lenders, and even other credit unions. It will feature speakers from inside and outside the industry. The 10 corporate sponsors are Central Credit Union Fund, Inc., Corporate America, Kansas Corporate, Kentucky Corporate Federal, Louisiana Corporate, Midwest Corporate Federal, Missouri Corporate, Treasure State Corporate, TRICORP Federal and West Virginia Corporate.
