SUNRISE, Fla. – Many organizations assisting Hurricane Katrina victims are in still in desperate need of cash donations and BrightStar CU has stepped up to the plate. The $265 million credit union said it will match donations up to $10,000 made at any of their six branches. BrightStar has already made a $5,000 donation to the American Red Cross. Members of the credit union can also transfer a donation from their account to the fund through its Member Service Center. According to BrightStar, 100% of the money collected will go to the American Red Cross’ Hurricane 2005 Relief fund.
