Vice President of Sales and Marketing | Location: Columbus, OH

American Share Insurance (ASI), the nation’s only alternative to credit union federal deposit insurance (NCUA insurance), has just announced its search for a Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  In addition, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Excessive Share Insurance (ESI), the company insures member deposits with up to $5 Million of additional coverage per insured account relationship. ASI insures 122 state chartered credit unions in 9 states and ESI’s market includes 225 credit unions in 33 states nationwide.  As part of the executive team reporting directly to the CEO, The Vice President of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for managing all sales and marketing functions of ASI and ESI. The VP of Sales and Marketing will be the brand ambassador for the newly revamped brand(s) of the company and will leverage the strength of the brand(s) to penetrate new markets and build business for both ASI and ESI. The incumbent will develop and execute strategic and tactical marketing and sales plans.  In addition to exceptional networking skills, this position requires an executive-level knowledge of credit union financials and must possess strong analytical skills in order to articulate relatively complex financial models to successfully market and sell these products. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Marketing or closely related field is required.   At least 10 years of experience in the sales and marketing of products and services within the credit union, and/or financial services, an industry with 5 years of supervisory experience is also required. Securing an insurance agent license in each of ESI’s states of operation will be required as a condition of ongoing employment.
