This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven finance/accounting executive to join a progressive credit union with a unique business model. Your background should include experience from a financial service organization that specializes in consumer and auto lending supported by strong analytics and is not risk averse. The incumbent will serve as the primary risk officer of the institution, and have a deep knowledge and understanding of the risk management practices for financial institutions, overseeing the credit union’s asset-liability strategies, cash management and investment functions, financial reporting, and product pricing/cost accounting models. As a member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO, you should be confident and possess a collaborative leadership style. You will interface and partner with Senior Management, Chair the ALCO committee and make frequent presentations to the Board of Directors. Your experience will also include working closely with information technology to manage finance and accounting software applications. This position requires at least 7-10 years of experience managing finance (accounting, investments, cash management, budgeting, control, and reporting) for a complex financial institution with multiple branches and a broad array of product offerings. In this newly created position, CSCU will look to the Vice President of Sales to build a national inside and outside sales team, develop a departmental budget and create an internal sales process. Location: Florida With assets approaching $500 million, Dade County Federal Credit Union, located in Doral, Florida, is in search of an experienced Director of Internal Audit who will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing the internal audit function of the credit union. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with policies, laws and regulations, as well as identifying and analyzing all major risks, coordinating internal audit activities, conducting reviews and providing constructive feedback on findings. Successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of audit procedures and accounting systems and will maintain current knowledge of auditing legislation, techniques and practices as they relate to the credit union. Bachelor’s degree in related field and CPA, CIA or CFE designation, plus five years of combined auditing and operations experience within a financial institution required.
