Qualified candidates must have proven experience in managing at the executive level in a large financial institution, plus a minimum of five years within the financial services industry. Located in Dothan, Alabama, Five Star Credit Union, with over $165 million in assets, is in search of a Chief Financial Officer capable of delivering a fiscal vision for the organization.  This individual will have leading roles in asset liability management, investments, risk management, budgeting and strategic planning.  In addition to chairing the Asset Liability Committee, areas of responsibility will include accounting and finance, information technology, human resources and marketing.  Being well versed in overall credit union operations will allow this individual to successfully implement fiscal strategic direction and assist in the organization’s development of a sales and service culture.  The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in finance and accounting operations and principles, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  An advanced degree, CPA and additional certifications would be a plus.
