Community Resource FCU Names Langlois CEO
Terry Langlois was named president/CEO of the $75 million Community Resource Federal Credit Union in Latham, N.Y., last week.
He will replace Elizabeth Kindlon on May 1, who is retiring after leading the cooperative for 26 years.
“Betsy’s leadership and guidance enabled many changes, and the credit union would not be as it is today without her vision,” Tom Ellis, Community Resource FCU chairman said in a prepared statement.
In addition to its asset growth over the years, Community Resources has grown its total loans from $42.6 million in 2010 to nearly $62 million in 2014. Likewise, net income has also increased from $720,855 in 2010 to $991,285, according to NCUA financial performance reports.
Langlois served as the cooperative’s chief financial officer for the last five years. In addition, he holds more than 20 years of experience in credit union management.
Ellis said Langlois demonstrated his ability as a leader and a major contributor to the credit union’s success.
“We believe the he will prove to be a highly effective leader for the credit union in the years to come,” Ellis said. “We wish him every success.”
Community Resource FCU serves 6,751 members and operates one branch.
