Credit Union CEOs Make NBA Wager
Generations Federal Credit Union CEO Steve Schipull and Mike DiBenedetto, CEO of South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union, made a friendly sports wager.
Schipull, shown at left, runs a $519 million shop in San Antonio and is betting his hometown Spurs will win the NBA 2014 Finals.
DiBenedetto, shown at right, heads up an $876 million credit union in Miami. He is pulling for a Heat ‘three-peat’.
If the Spurs win, DiBenedetto must wear a Spurs jersey around his office for a day. Likewise, if the Heat win, Schipull has to wear a Miami team jersey for a day.
Photos of the CEO sporting the opposing team’s jersey will also be shared with the winning credit union and a donation of $250 will be made to Credit Unions for Kids in the name of the winning CEO and his credit union.
With the Spurs leading the Heat 2-1 after game 3 of the NBA Finals Tuesday, a confident Schipull said he has already asked DiBenedetto for his jersey size.
